DayBrief is an alarm clock that wakes you with a spoken brief: the date and the weather, the one thing you promised yourself the night before, your first meeting and how many follow, and a close. It is read in one of nine characters you choose by ear. The voices are synthetic; no real person recorded them. DayBrief reads your calendar; it does not plan your day or give professional advice.
DayBrief Pro unlocks the app, billed by Apple through the App Store: $14.99 a month or $79.99 a year in the United States (prices vary by country and are shown before you buy). Both plans begin with a 7-day free trial, once per person. The subscription starts when the trial ends and renews automatically at the same price for the same period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Manage or cancel in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. We never handle your payment card.
You need an account to use DayBrief. Keep your sign-in to yourself. You may delete your account at any time in the app (Settings, Account, Delete account); your data is then handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Don't use the app to break the law, or to interfere with the service or other people's use of it. We may suspend accounts that do.
An alarm depends on your phone. Keep it charged and on, allow DayBrief to set alarms, and keep a backup alarm in the Clock app for anything that matters. The brief is prepared when you set the alarm and when you open the app; an event added overnight may not be in it, and if the voice service can't be reached the alarm still rings with a simpler brief or the system sound. Don't rely on DayBrief alone where a missed alarm or a missed event could cause harm.
Weather is a forecast from a third-party service and can be wrong. Don't rely on it for safety decisions.
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including a missed alarm or meeting, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.
These terms are between you and New Day Industries LLC, not Apple. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to your use of the app, and Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.
We may update these terms; the date above changes, and we say so in the app when the change matters. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where New Day Industries LLC is organized. Questions: support@newdayapps.com.
